About this event

  • Event lasts 2 days

40 earth-friendly workshops taught over the weekend. Workshops are in 2-hour blocks. Free tent camping (included with General Admission ticket); also available yurt lodging at additional cost of $20 per person per night. Kids 12 and under free (limit 2 per adult registered); teenagers discount admission. Family friendly event at a kids summer camp in beautiful location north of Lexington, KY. Peaceful and quiet wooded location. Lake Carnico nearby. Vegetarian and vegan breakfast and dinner provided, lunch is on your own. Food vendor on site. Hot showers and flush toilets. The site is easy to find and close to a main road, US 68. Easy access from Lexington and Cincinnati.

Can I bring my dog?

Service animals with appropriate paperwork are permitted. Animals must be leashed throughout the event. Aggressive, disruptive or misbehaving animals will be asked to leave

What is the food situation?

We provide a simple breakfast (oatmeal bar, coffee, cereal and fruit). Dinners will be vegetarian and vegan-friendly. Friday night is potluck! Bring a dish to share. Please bring your own plates and silverware. Meals will be vegetarian and vegan-friendly

Tell me about the yurts?

There are six yurts on site, each has 8 bunk beds (16 beds per yurt) with plastic mattresses. Yurts have heat and AC. Bring your own bedding. Hot showers and flush toilets are close by.

What is the vibe of this festival?

We will have lots of families and kids. Alcohol is discouraged, drugs not allowed, this is a family-friendly event. Morning Circle followed by workshops throughout the day, music around the fire in the evenings. Traditional Appalachian values/lifestyles. Most attendees will be chill

Parking?

There is a free (gravel) parking lot at this camp ... but it's a 10 minute walk to the main festival area. Preferred parking (limited) will put you much closer to the event for an additional $20. You may drive your vehicle to the camping area, unload, and then return to the parking area.

Can I bring my RV or trailer?

Sorry, there is no room at this kids summer camp for RVs or trailers. There are no hookups either. Suggest you check out the yurts, which have heat and AC - with flush toilets and hot showers close by.
